About Isinbessagala
Isinbessagala located in the North Central proveince of sri lanka. Exactly near to A9 road, 1.5km ahead from Medawachchiya Towan.
It's History goes back for 2000 years. It is believed as the place of arriving Mahindha Arahath Thero and his followers before arriving to Mihintale.
This temple complex was built by king Dawenampiyathissa (250-210BC)right after the introduction of Buddhism. Most of the constructions are seen nowadays belonged to early 20th century.
